"Welcome To Miami"

There are only 2 weeks left in senior year, and they have been very well spent. Between watching Lifetime movies, baking apple pie, and having dance-offs, my end of senior year has been very enjoyable. :) the best part though, was definitely the Living On Your Own mock wedding! The theme was "Miami Ink" and we all got pretty into it. I even wore tattoo leggings...and got many strange looks, but it was definitely worth it. I got to be the wedding photographer...so enjoy some engagement pictures and wedding pictures!

Paul & Britta's Pre-Wedding Reception

I was lucky enough to be asked to be the photographer at Paul & Britta's Pre-Wedding Reception! I love them both so much, and it was a lot of fun to take all the pictures. They are getting married in Seattle, so I won't be at their actual ceremony (my sister is having her baby on the same date!) so it was great to be a part of the pre-wedding activities. :)

Chiiiii

For photo class, we went downtown for a whole day just to take pictures. By far my favorite day of school! We went all over, but our best stop was "the bean." A random woman decided it would be a good idea to do yoga right in front of the bean (as the pictures show), it was the best picture, and the best story. :)

our sport is your sport's punishment.

my track season just ended and it was very bittersweet. i love the girls, but my body can definitely use the rest! I celebrated with a Portillo's chocolate milkshake.

Paradise

In December, right when it was about -45 degrees in Chicago, I went to the Cayman Islands with my friend Elise and her family. It was perfect timing, and was absolutely the most beautiful place I've ever been to. I'd choose sand and sun over snow and cold anyyy day.

Cousins :)

For thanksgiving my whole mom's side was over, with my favorite little cousins! We had so much fun playing on the trampoline, playing dress up (for hours...and hours...) and taking pictures together. :)

What School Actually Taught Me

I tried all four years to get into Digital Photography at my school, and finally senior year there was room! This class has really improved my photography especially with the point of view shots. these photos are all for school, all different assignments. enjoy! (the tennis picture actually won a local newspaper photo contest!)

Face Paint & Beaches

football games at my high school are a pretty big deal, which calls for a lot of face paint. The beach pictures are from downtown Chicago, which my camp crew and I fell in love with. (the beach happens to be right next to the Home Alone house!)

Sweet Summertime

just some random photos from summer '09 :)

Walk Like An Egyptian

Junior year I was lucky enough to be able to go and visit my sister in Egypt! It was breathtaking and provided great photo opportunities. So much cooler in real life than just reading about!

Photography: A Love Story.

When I got my first camera in 7th grade, I never would have expected to fall in love. My first few years of picture taking involved me and my friends with our lips pouted and our fingers giving the camera a peace sign. so cool, so cool. Over the years, photography did not just become what me and my friends did when we were bored. It became an art, my favorite activity, and a love. I've been blessed to have been given the opportunity to capture some family portraits and a wedding pre-celebration, and I am always looking for more opportunities to share the beauty and love that can only be displayed through photography. :)
